Small Business Development Workshop "Starting & Maintaining A Successful Business" June 1, 2019
Greater Houston Development, Inc. (GHDI) is a 26+ year old, nonprofit, 501 c 3, tax exempt organization. Its primary focus for 24 years was to develop affordable housing and provide related services to low-income families and mobilize underserved neighborhoods in response to the physical deterioration, severe blight, and sense of hopelessness in northeast Houston neighborhoods and similar Houston communities thru 2017.

In 2018, Greater Houston re-aligned its program's focus to encourage affordable housing and economic development thru partnerships with local builders and small businesses by providing technical assistance. We also sponsor homebuyer education/training seminars for low-moderate income person/families desiring to achieve the American Dream of home ownership and ownership retention.

Greater Houston Development, Inc.’s many accomplishments include (but not limited to):

     * Homebuyer education & training session to over 3,100 persons,
     * Help identify small business and employment opportunities,
     * Encourage the creation of community green space,
     * Mobilized the community around important housing, environmental, and
education issues thru various planning initiatives, etc...
